Community Garden

Ulverstone Community House is establishing a Community Garden in Moore Street West Ulverstone.
West Ulverstone Primary School kindly donated land to be used for the Garden. Initial funding came from
Housing Tasmania’s Community Grants Program in 2005. .

Before we Started:

6 raised garden beds. The beds are being used by Ulverstone High school, West Ulverstone Primary School, NW Day Support, Girl Guides, Stepping Stones Child Care Centre, Ulverstone Garden Club. The Shipping Container stores our tools and equipment:

Fruit Trees planted and supplied by West Ulverstone Primary School:

A Working Bee held on the 10th of June 2006 – 8 community members volunteered their time to weed plant and complete garden edging.
